The house itself is built into the side of the mountain, a feature which literally reappears in its rocky form in the interior,  providing a contrast to the smooth white floors that give the house it's contemporary edge. A large open plan space comprises the sitting room, dining room and kitchen that coallecse under a large pyramidal roof window, flooding the whole area with that wonderful Andalucian bright light.The furnishings has been thoughfully aquired and you feel prividged to be in a place that goes beyond the average rental property. Large sliding windows lead out onto the terrace where you can breathe a whole new life into oneself. Dining table, chairs, sofas and sunbeds beckon you to make a choice  - where to sit to appreciate all of this?

If you need to catch up on some work then a study area with a computer is already set up for you, with the vital fibre optic connection which gives you the speed you require - quite extraordinary in this sleepy little back water. It is called having the best of both worlds.

The kitchen itself has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a laundry room on the lower floor along with a double bedroom and large bathroom. The bath/ shower is itself formed out of the rock and is an experience all by itself - you feel outside but you are inside - you could not have a more visceral sensation of being in tune with the earth. 

If you want to feel pampered then the house keeper, Paqui, will come in each morning to make your bed and and clean your bathroom, but if you prefer total privacy, then your wishes will be respected.

Finally, if you like to walk and walk and walk, then you could not have come to a better place - the owner has meticulously plotted the trails and caminos of Andalucia and his books are legendry amongst this circle.  Hangliding at the neighbouring village, Algodonales, is also popular, with one of the finest instructors in the business.
